On the evening of May 3, 1934, a traveling carnival sets up at the Midway, just 35 miles from Cleveland. The stage is alive with a group of bellydancers while the barker shouts, “Hurry, hurry, hurry!” A sign boasts, “One dime for the best hootchy koochy show in the world!” Meanwhile, Hans Eberhardt, a man with two convictions for armed robbery and drug dealing, notices Ness and his Untouchables alongside local police preparing for a raid.
