As Mr. Carlson practices a tedious speech in front of the WKRP team, each staff member begins to zone out, lost in their own fantasies about their dream lives. Herb imagines himself as a Latin-American dictator, while Jennifer envisions herself as a glamorous star from the '30s. Les dreams of being a wartime reporter during the Blitz in 1940, and Bailey sees herself as the President. Andy pictures himself as a radio Mafioso, Venus as a standup comic, and Johnny imagines life as a rock star.
