WKRP in Cincinnati (1978)
Cincinnati’s WKRP undergoes a radical transformation as it shifts from mellow tunes to an energetic top-40 rock format. The quirky team must rapidly adapt to the change. Programming director Andy Travis recruits the cool DJ Venus Flytrap to collaborate with the jaded Dr. Johnny Fever. The ensemble includes neurotic newsman Les Nessman, enthusiastic Bailey Quarters, slick salesman Herb Tarlek, and the stunning Jennifer Marlowe, the capable receptionist. At the helm is Arthur Carlson, the station manager navigating the pressures from his overbearing mother, who also happens to be the station's owner.
