S7E5 The Maid in Splendour

Jamie Cruickshank, a bartender at the Maid in Splendour pub, has a crush on barmaid Bella Monday. His pursuit leads him to a dilapidated cottage in the woods, where he is unexpectedly shot with a twelve-bore shotgun. Shortly after, Stephen Bannerman, the landlord's son, meets the same grim fate. Detective Barnaby uncovers tensions brewing between the long-time villagers and the newcomers, as well as a strained relationship between the landlord and his volatile son, who was poised to inherit the family business.
