Bill Hawkes is guiding three wagons through Native American lands when they encounter a group of Mexican bandits led by Lee Marvin. As tensions rise, the two factions are forced to unite against a sudden Indian assault. In the face of danger, their preconceived notions and prejudices begin to dissolve as they work together for survival.
