After the respected member of the wagon train is discovered dead, Adams faces the challenge of stopping the townsfolk from taking justice into their own hands and ensuring that a fair trial occurs. The prime suspect, who isn’t particularly popular, is found unconscious beside the rifle that was used in the killing.
