Episode Overview

Tom is feeling hopeless as he grapples with the fallout of his crumbling marriage to Helen and the strain on his relationship with their daughter, Holly. His focus on saving his business has cost him dearly at home, and he longs to win Helen back. However, things take a turn when Helen starts dating Alex, a police officer. One afternoon, while picking up Holly from school, Tom confronts a local troublemaker named Darren over a queue-jumping incident. This leads to a violent encounter, with Darren and his crew attacking Tom and his car with stones. Helen later suggests that Alex could assist Tom, but his pride prevents him from accepting help from her new partner. The situation escalates when Tom is assaulted by two thugs, leaving him suspicious that Darren's father might be involved.
