Episode Overview

PJ, overwhelmed by the thought of his mother's approaching death, immerses himself in investigating the murder of a convicted kidnapper serving a life sentence. Jo and Ben try to persuade him to confront his feelings and talk to his mother, but he stubbornly dives deeper into his work. His determination leads him to uncover troubling connections between the kidnapping and the murder, prompting Jo to acknowledge the unsettling number of coincidences. Ultimately, after solving the case and witnessing a poignant reunion between a mother and son, PJ chooses to be by his mother’s side in her final moments and share in her suffering.
