On August 16, 1987, Northwest Airlines Flight 255 experiences a catastrophic stall shortly after departing from Detroit Metropolitan Airport, plummeting just past the runway. Tragically, 154 of the 155 passengers and crew members perish, along with two individuals on the ground. Subsequent inquiries revealed that the flight crew neglected to adjust the aircraft's flaps and slats properly before takeoff, leading to the devastating accident.
