S26E4 Crash Landing (Eagle Airways Flight 2300)
On June 18, 2007, as Eagle Airways Flight 2300 approached Wellington, the landing gear malfunctioned and wouldn’t extend. The pilots quickly redirected the plane and executed a belly landing in Blenheim, ensuring the safety of all 17 passengers and crew members aboard. The failure was attributed to a fatigue crack in the hydraulic actuator.
