Eddie and Joy are looking to downsize to a cozier home, but Doug and Ally aren’t yet prepared to live independently. At the same time, after Duffy breaks up with Whitey (guest star Martin Mull), he seeks refuge with Eddie and Joy to deal with his emotions. However, Duffy soon becomes a burden, and Joy finds herself wanting him to leave.
