Eddie and Joy experience feelings of exclusion when they discover they are the only neighbors not invited to an elderly neighbor's funeral. When Joy is approached to sing at the service, Eddie, consumed by jealousy, seeks out a way to contribute as well. Meanwhile, Steph and Jeff clash over the eulogy that Steph is preparing, leading to tension between them.
