In Harris County, Texas, a young mother of three is discovered in her trailer, having suffered a fatal throat wound. Authorities apprehend a suspect thanks to a crucial witness, but the defense shifts the narrative once the trial begins. Meanwhile, in Birmingham, Alabama, a well-liked man is shot just a few blocks from his residence. Although he is able to identify his assailant, law enforcement requires additional witness testimonies to secure a conviction against the shooter.
