Clark finds himself ensnared in the "Phantom Zone," isolated among the very villains his father had once confined there. Just when hope seems lost, an unforeseen ally steps in to assist him. Meanwhile, Zod, inhabiting Lex's body, pushes forward with his scheme to recreate Krypton on Earth, enlisting Lana in his plans to bear a successor.
