Humans thrive on connection, but what occurs when unseen forces jeopardize our emotional ties or, even worse, when those bonds are substituted by technology? In this episode, we encounter a woman who has created a chatbot of her deceased friend, allowing him to exist indefinitely; a Japanese family that has embraced a childlike AI robot as part of their household; and a frantic mother resorting to spyware to monitor her teenager’s every action.
