Ray Nixon pays a visit to his mother's grave before checking into a room at the Aidensfield Arms. Blaketon is filled with a sense of guilt regarding Ray. Meanwhile, Sergeants Nokes and Craddock switch roles to gain new insights into each other's duties. During this time, a man appears to swipe some precious maps from an elderly woman.
