Episode Overview
Richard dismisses Jacqueline's reasons for placing him for adoption. Although Cole has been exonerated in the murder case of Carlo Agretti, he faces relentless scrutiny from both the police and the townsfolk. Attempting to manipulate their sibling connection, Richard pressures Chase to oppose Angela's bid for control of The New Globe's board. In return, Chase demands that Richard abandon his winery project to secure his support. Meanwhile, Lance and his date Brenda find themselves caught in a compromising situation at Angela's annual Founder's Day Party, which leads to Angela's fury upon discovering them. At the event, Richard and Melissa reveal their feelings for one another, and Richard boldly announces he has located Jacqueline, prompting Angela to publicly criticize her for destroying her marriage to Douglas.
