Stardate: Unknown. Dr. Bashir is chosen to serve as the prototype for a new version of the Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH). However, he hesitates when his parents are brought to the station for a meeting with the EMH developer, Dr. Zimmerman. Bashir is anxious about a troubling family secret that he fears his parents might disclose during the interview.
