However, her father, Louis, harshly criticizes her work ethic, resulting in tense family conflicts. Meanwhile, Andrea’s mother, Sonya, who is battling Alzheimer's, pleads for reconciliation. Architect David Welch forms a connection with Christine, proposing to help transform her Napa Valley barn into a residence. During a dinner together, David's ex-wife, Rebecca, confronts Peter, insisting he intervene in Christine's relationship with her husband to avoid a scandal. Later, Rebecca sabotages Christine, causing her to fall down the stairs. Peter advises Christine to take a break at home while he and Billy deal with Rebecca. However, Rebecca confronts Christine at her apartment, holding her at knifepoint amid a flurry of accusations, just as Peter tries to reach her by phone.
