Maxine inadvertently shares crucial details with Amy, helping her determine if the promoters are accountable for a teenager's ecstasy overdose at their rave. Meanwhile, Maxine and Sean team up to encourage a couple to reclaim their former foster daughter upon her release from a work camp. Amy and Maxine clash over Amy's overly protective nature towards Lauren. Sean expresses his frustration with Maxine’s critical view of Eric. After discussing it with Martin, Kyle decides to pursue a relationship with Heather but falls off the wagon during a party celebrating their evaluations. When Lily witnesses them kissing, she chooses not to mention the upcoming random drug test, resulting in Heather's termination. To dispel any rumors, Bruce pulls away from Amy to reassure Zola that nothing is happening between them.
