Episode Overview
As the new academic year approaches at Hillman, Dwayne and Whitley get ready for their respective roles; he will be teaching, while she takes on the position of director for a new dormitory. Whitley has accepted Dwayne's proposal, only keeping her New York job for the summer. In a bind during a meeting, Dwayne asks Ron to collect Whitley's engagement ring, but Ron mistakenly grabs the wrong one from the jeweler. Meanwhile, freshman Lena James faces housing issues when the computer fails her, leading her to cleverly persuade Whitley to let her stay in a spare room. Additionally, Col. Taylor and Jaleesa surprise everyone with news of their elopement, while Terrence struggles with the idea of a new stepmother.
