After Kuzak confronts her about her substance abuse almost costing her life, Van Owen decides to take a leave to confront her trauma. Becker falls prey to a young model's manipulation, while McKenzie faces illness that requires surgery he is reluctant to discuss. Shacter takes Melman to Hawaii, and Kelsey regrets encouraging Markowitz to join her on a challenging backpacking trip that turns out to be a nightmare.
