While tackling an assignment, Gibbs suffers severe injuries from an explosion and is rushed to the hospital. There, he confronts haunting memories from his past that he has kept buried for so long. Meanwhile, the rest of the team is faced with the challenge of continuing their investigation while managing their emotions about Gibbs' condition.
