With the news that Carol's controlling parents will be visiting for Christmas, she enlists Nate and Tom to help create the illusion of perfect relationships. As they all work to maintain this façade, Nate starts to buy into the deception and contemplates rekindling his romance with his former girlfriend, Janice.
