They uncover that their supposed homework is merely a cover for a cigarette smuggling operation. While out in the field, Gilou reveals the complete truth about the bullion to Laure. Meanwhile, Tintin faces the challenge of his son Ruben visiting for a few days. Additionally, Laure makes strides in her investigation into Josephine's rape case.
