The Beverly Hills Beach Club is hosting its yearly reunion, stirring up memories for Steve, particularly about his first experience with Kelly on the beach back in 9th grade. Clare feels unsettled upon discovering their past, noting the "incestuous" dynamics within their circle. Steve admits to having spread rumors about Kelly after their breakup, which tarnished her reputation. Although hurt, Kelly ultimately chooses to forgive him. Meanwhile, Ryan misses a date opportunity when Austin persuades him to spy on the girl while she’s changing. Steve takes the time to remind the guys about respecting women. David continues to criticize Donna for leaving the music video scene, leading to tension when he sees her with another guy, prompting their breakup. Kelly starts volunteering at an AIDS hospice to fulfill her summer school requirements, while Mark Reese, the campus TV station manager, tries to recruit Brandon and shows interest in Kelly.
