The Walshes mark their seventeenth anniversary, but Cindy is left feeling unfulfilled as Jim prioritizes work over their relationship. During a chance encounter, she reconnects with Glen, an old boyfriend and skilled artist. They spend considerable time together, culminating in a kiss at Glen's art opening. Meanwhile, Brandon and Brenda participate in a college study focusing on twins, but they find it hard to concentrate due to their parents' ongoing marital issues.
