Although Beverly is shocked, she promises to back her friend—until she learns that Merc is now engaged to Morning Randolph. Meanwhile, Matt invites Sean and Beverly to his ranch for a weekend of brainstorming a new series, but things take a chaotic turn with some gunfire and a wild boar making an appearance.
