Episode Overview
Despite John Cannon's warnings, Mano chooses to support Sean McLaren, an Irish miner, and his colleagues in their struggle against perilous working conditions. After a confrontation with mine superintendent Cass Gregg, McLaren and his friend Scanlon are sentenced to a chain gang. Mano intervenes and helps them break free. While John advocates for negotiations to enhance safety, McLaren is convinced that sabotage is the key to achieving change. Tragedy strikes when Scanlon is brutally killed by Gregg, pushing McLaren to the brink as he plans to blow up the mine, leaving Mano feeling powerless to intervene.
