Gordo feels overshadowed as girls fawn over Ethan Craft, who receives a dirtbike for his 14th birthday, a family tradition. With even Larry Tudgeman now attempting to shave, Gordo starts to question his own path to manhood, lamenting his choice not to have a bar mitzvah. Seeking clarity, he interviews various men to learn what defines masculinity and tries out different "manly" activities, including a visit to a tattoo shop, but finds them unappealing. When he confronts his parents about skipping the bar mitzvah, they explain they respected his earlier wishes.
