After being thrown out by their mom's new fiancé, Dan opts to move in with J.D. for the time being. However, as he spends time with J.D. at the hospital, Dan begins to question his feelings about the jaded person his younger brother has turned into. Meanwhile, Elliot grapples with the challenges of a long-distance relationship and takes on a side gig as a pet examiner alongside Carla in an effort to earn some extra cash.
