Episode Overview
PC Sam Harker has gone undercover within a circle of animal rights activists, aided by his old friend from Liverpool, Steve Burton. The group's leader, Ged Mellings, is thought to be organizing a terrorist act. As Harker participates in protests and animal rescue missions, he starts to resonate with their cause. Although he wrestles with his conscience, he earns Mellings' trust and uncovers a plot to firebomb a nearby department store. Meanwhile, CID sets a trap and apprehends the group as they attempt to plant the explosives, leaving Harker heartbroken over betraying Steve.
