Mannion requests Brownlow to take his place for a television interview, but Brownlow ends up deflecting responsibility after two undercover reporters are subjected to stop and searches. They respond to a call and successfully apprehend one of the thieves, but when the other robber escapes by jumping on a bus, Brownlow calls for uniformed officers to halt the bus, facing public backlash, though the uniformed officers find humor in the situation.
