Arnold Simpsons finds himself in danger after hiring Gunn to uncover the identity of his blackmailer. He shares with Pete a troubling experience from a dig with Frank Victor, revealing how he was left behind during a cave-in. Gunn heads to the Blue Pheasant to collect a package for Simpson, but when he delivers it, he is shocked as it suddenly explodes.
