S1E26 Adiós, Señor Magistrado

Captain Toledano intends to question two captives taken during the gunpowder recovery. The prisoners alert Figueroa, one of the magistrate's associates, that they will reveal information unless they receive assistance in escaping. However, the following morning, they are discovered dead in their cell. A doctor inspects the bodies and believes foul play is involved, but the magistrate claims it was a suicide.
