After Homer loses $5,000 in a poker match against the famous Broadway star Laney Fontaine, he finds himself in a tough spot. The only way to pay off his debt is to lend Lisa to Laney for a month. Once in Laney's hands, Lisa is transformed into a child star, leaving Marge and Homer anxious about their decision. Worried they've made a huge mistake, they rush to New York City to bring their daughter home.
