When Homer finds himself in hot water due to his gambling debts related to football, he lets the Springfield Mafia film a "snuggle film" in their home without Marge's consent. Upon returning from a visit to "Santa's Village" with the kids, Marge is livid to discover the filming is still underway. Upset, she heads to the beach, where she meets Caleb Thorn, a marine biologist committed to the conservation of manatees.
