Susan Walsh stands out as an unconventional mom in New Jersey. By day, she contributes articles to the Village Voice and studies in a graduate writing program at NYU. At night, she works as a stripper in go-go bars, striving to support herself while chasing her aspiration of becoming a full-time writer. When Susan fails to come home after making a cryptic call from a payphone, her family is left in shock.
