During an auction, the auctioneer showcases a valuable ancient text, the Corpus Hermeticum, only to suddenly suffer a seizure and collapse, lifeless. It soon becomes apparent that he was poisoned, and in the ensuing chaos, the genuine manuscript is swapped for a counterfeit. Intrigued by the book rumored to hold ultimate wisdom, Astrid and Raphaëlle become fascinated by the object that ignites intense ambition and desire in others.
