Momiji's situation becomes increasingly perplexing with the arrival of Mamoru Kusanagi. However, when she discovers that he has come to shield her from the bizarre creatures known as Aragami, she starts to feel a sense of security. Unbeknownst to her, Kusanagi is torn between the choices of saving her or sacrificing her for a greater purpose.
