Holmes and Watson delve into the mysterious death of a fellow member from Holmes' online beekeeping forum, a researcher focused on a lethal honey bee epidemic in the Northeast. Along the way, they encounter Tara Parker, an exceptional entomologist and head of New York’s beekeeping society. Simultaneously, Captain Gregson recruits Watson for a discreet investigation that ultimately leads him to a pivotal choice in his life.
