The Hogan Family, a sitcom that captivated audiences from 1986 to 1991, first aired on NBC before moving to CBS. Initially titled Valerie, the show featured Valerie Harper as a mother balancing her career with the challenges of raising three sons while her husband, an airline pilot, was often away. After two seasons, Harper departed due to a conflict with producers, leading to Sandy Duncan's introduction as their aunt, who stepped in as a mother figure. The series underwent several title changes, ultimately becoming The Hogan Family in its later seasons.
