Meanwhile, Terry faces an unwelcome surprise when her ex-husband Joel McCarthy shows up, claiming they're still married and demanding $25,000 to keep it quiet. She firmly refuses to fund his drug addiction. Angela provides evidence to the plane crash investigators that points to Chase's involvement, while leveraging a favor from Senator Silverlake to manipulate the F.A.A. report. Following the report's release, Chase finds himself under suspicion and facing a suspended license. In a pivotal moment, Emma hands over her shares in The New Globe to Angela, empowering her takeover of the newspaper.
