After the four brothers lose their parents, they discover that no one on the train is willing to take them all in. Charlie is set on keeping the brothers together and even suggests to a lonely spinster who is interested in adopting them, but she declines. Undeterred, he decides to help her find a husband instead, hoping it will open up a chance for them to stay as a family.
