Nancy unexpectedly encounters an old friend who is directing a remake of a horror movie titled “Longhook,” which is plagued by mysterious occurrences on set. Eager to lift her spirits, she sees this new case as the perfect distraction, and Ryan, claiming to be an expert on the original film, volunteers to assist her. Meanwhile, Ace supports Bess as she prepares for her part as Victim #1 in the production. Additionally, George and Nick realize they were both stood up by councilwoman Brie for their meetings, leaving them feeling unsettled.
