Episode Overview
As the weekend begins, Eric and Annie indulge in their own separate outings, neglecting their responsibilities. Meanwhile, the reverend struggles to find company and ends up reaching out to a puzzled Matt. Annie is deep in discussion with a guest professor, played by Jeff Yagher. Mary’s rebellious streak grows as she is lured into drinking and smoking after her shift, forming a bond with morally ambiguous co-workers Frankie and Johnny (guest stars Chyler Leigh and Nathan West). Matt inadvertently sabotages Simon's chance with an older woman (guest star Katie Stuart) when he becomes distracted by a romantic encounter, forgetting to pick up Simon. Meanwhile, Lucy faces the less glamorous aspects of parenthood while she and a classmate care for an egg.
