Meg and her cousin Bunny come back to Leeds after abruptly ending their gap year in India. At the airport, they’re welcomed by their best friend Laura, but to their dismay, Meg’s clingy ex-boyfriend Mark is also there. He seems to think they’re still an item. Their return home quickly becomes chaotic, and on top of that, they now have the challenges of searching for a house and job to tackle.
