Episode Overview

In 1985, Denise, a young woman in her early twenties, embarks on her new career as a WPC with the Metropolitan Police, facing the challenges of sexism head-on. Partnered with the undercover Detective Sergeant Ray Deans, their mission to catch a suspect takes a dark turn when Denise suffers a head injury and ends up in the hospital. There, she encounters fifteen-year-old Amy Reid, who recently escaped a violent confrontation with her father at a Brixton club called Subotica. After Amy is tragically found murdered, Denise is resolute in her quest to bring the killer to justice.
