Theo, Denny, and Smitty put in a lot of effort to make a lasting impression on their prom dates, but their plans take a turn for the worse. Meanwhile, Cliff and Clair reminisce about their own prom night experiences. This episode features Troy Winbush as Denny and Adam Sandler as Smitty, marking the debut of Michelle Thomas as Justine. Additionally, Phylicia Rashad is set to appear in the later airing of A Different World that same evening.
