Meanwhile, a young boy with a fractured leg insists on using crutches rather than a walker. At Rampart, a patient arrives with an ear infection linked to mothballs. In another incident, a couple overdoses on daffodil bulbs. A weekend cowboy declines medical assistance after a fall from his horse. Two victims from a traffic collision start to bond. John's current girlfriend mistakenly believes he has proposed to her, and the lead vocalist of a rock band suffers a cardiac arrest.
